Author: Estefan Galue, Workplace Manager | CommonGrounds Workplace Carlsbad
Imagine a place that is yours, but not entirely yours at the same time. A beacon of hope, a structure that guides your path. Any guesses as to what I’m referring to?
For years, families and city officials alike have chosen lifeguard towers to be the iconic representation of safety. A select landmark, the lifeguard tower serves to watch and prevent dangers, but also serves as a meeting point in cases of said dangers or emergencies.
Commemorating San Diego’s beautiful and laidback weather, not to mention being only a few of miles away from the Pacific Ocean, Conference Rooms at CommonGrounds Carlsbad are known and referred to by members as Towers (26 – 30) in honor of Lifeguard Tower 26 – standing proudly just miles of this location.
CommonGrounds encourages each workplace team to get creative at every effortlessly unique location. Knowing what member’s needs are is a top priority, and important mission throughout every workplace team across the country, and conference room reservations rank high of that list of needs.
With full soundproofing insulation, Air-media AV Technology, and Crestron hardware systems installed for confidential conference calling, CommonGrounds goes above and beyond to deliver a professional, modern, and ergonomic solution for its members and non-members looking to reserve for the day.
But how to choose the best conference room for your type of meeting? That is the true question here.
The first step is booking through our state-of-the-art CG+ app (free of charge to download on the App Store as well as Google Play store).
During member onboard, we make sure that our members are set up for success and that certainly includes being able to book conference rooms. With full access to our acoustically enhanced and soundproof rooms at their fingertips, booking the right meeting room for the right occasion has never been easier.
Now let’s talk occasions!
CommonGrounds offers a variety of different sized conference rooms for different types of meetings. At our Carlsbad location, we currently have five immensely popular rooms where any member or non-member can meet for the right occasion.
In addition to these high in-demand rooms, another popular space for hosting any sort of meeting or networking conference would be our lovely communal area, complete with a stainless-steel kitchen. Members are encouraged to view these communal spaces as their own, as CommonGrounds believes in making our members feel right at home. Therefore, members are free to utilize their space for events* either in a conference room or in the communal seating areas.
Any catering done by member or nonmember would be at their own expense, but of course are encouraged to bring their own foods and beverages. If you are looking for an easy solution to your catering needs, CommonGrounds Carlsbad recommends the incredibly exquisite INVITA Café. With true Italian cuisine, INVITA has catered more than 20 events related and unrelated to CommonGrounds for anyone interested in providing a culinary experience for their guests!
Not only can over 50 people comfortably fit and enjoy the space, but a projector screen also drops down along with a higher resolution projector display. Want to host a virtual conference? Perfect! With a 360° Gyro view and Birdseye camera, anyone tuning in will feel as if they are in the space itself!
The space is usually high in demand by nonmembers looking to host holiday events, as well as networking events, or even producing short films or ads. All it takes is imagination and creativity in order to achieve the vision of what it is you are looking for. CommonGrounds offer our space to nonmembers for a one-time day pass purchase, as well as an hourly fee that varies by location.
Knowing what type of event, a member or nonmember would like to host is crucial in selecting the right room or space.
For one-on-one meetings, interviews, or if you just want some alone in peace and quiet, we recommend starting off in a more size appropriate conference room, such as Towers 29 and 30. Fitting up to four people maximum, as well as fully soundproof, equipped with ergonomic chairs and wall-to-wall whiteboard, Towers 29 and 30 are the perfect room for a much quainter and more interpersonal workplace experience.
Leaving us with Towers 26 through 28, these meeting rooms are perfect for board meetings for larger than five people, Zoom conference calls with Air-media AV Technology, and Crestron hardware systems installed for confidential conference calling.
Not only are these Towers perfect for a professional work environment, but the wooden and concrete aesthetic in these rooms provide an ambience of endless opportunities. Great for getting professional headshots taken in, as well as recording any type of podcast or voice note, these conference rooms go above and beyond what a typical and average conference room should look and feel like.
With access to reservations on each and every single one of our Towers as well as our communal space, we encourage our members to book ahead of time once they have any sort of confirmed date and time. As great and convenient as these rooms are to book, they are booked beyond frequently so always be sure to book or call-in in advance!
Providing more than just an ordinary room in which to meet, CommonGrounds has truly mastered the art and aesthetic behind a modernized conference meeting room. With medium to little availability, constant bookings, and modern atmosphere, CommonGrounds Carlsbad is a testament to what the possibilities can be in any work environment.
