CommonGrounds Leading by Example in Safeguarding Return to Work Wellbeing

As companies and individuals navigate the aftermath of COVID-19, designing a safe return-to-work strategy is a top priority.

CommonGrounds Leading by Example in Safeguarding Return to Work Wellbeing 1ommonGrounds has worked hard to develop a strategy for our employees as well as those who work in our spaces that protects health and wellbeing, now more than ever.

Work place workplace

These are uncharted waters and we know that our guests and members carry realistic concerns about transitioning from remote work back to physical workspaces without compromising health and safety. We are just like all of you – having spent months at home in quarantine and do not want to take steps backward after the progress we have made. We are all eager to return to something that resembles “normal” productivity without a constant concern about health and safety. We also want to continue to instill a sense of culture among members, so that people not only feel worry-free but enjoy where they are coming to work each day.

The CG team has compiled and studied all available research. With this information, we have made the proper adjustments to our locations that ensure the health and wellbeing of all guests and serve to put you at ease. We value each one of you and this endeavor is very important to us. We joined other coworking, real estate companies, and advisors to form The Workplace Operator Readiness Council in developing a playbook to share, coordinate, and develop information towards a safe and healthy office.

The workplace guide and approach CG has put in place is based on direct recommendations from the CDC and World Health Organization (WHO). In our commitment to everyone, updates and changes to our ‘Return to Work Ground Rules’ will be shared directly with our members.

Clear signage will be placed strategically throughout our spaces. Sanitizing stations have been added throughout each workspace, swapped all cutlery & cups/plates for disposable items, coffee drinks will be served “to-go” and highly trafficked areas like kitchens will be cleaned every hour.

Visitors will need to check in and fill out a questionnaire regarding their exposure to COVID-19, temperature screenings will be available and face masks will be required in all communal areas.

We are committed to social distancing while still providing a seamless working experience. Our spaces have been reconfigured to allow all guests to be six feet apart, and, have marked walkways with clear decals denoting the proper flow of traffic.

Finally, and most important, we are dedicated to transparent, honest communication. Should any outbreak occur within our buildings, all guests will be informed immediately.

At the end of the day, we think of each of you as one of us. We want you to know you can work in our spaces and go home at night not worried that you may be exposing your family to something dangerous. We are all in this together and CG has your back.
